If you're a musician looking for a place to play, ONA may be right for you! ONA is a fun, pressure-free orchestra for amateur and professional musicians alike and everyone is welcome.
Haven't played in a while? No worries! No auditions are required.
Please contact us if you are interested in joining.

​​Note: orchestration is specific to each piece, as detailed by the composer. All
orchestras — including ONA — try to honor the composer's intent while working
with local orchestration limitations.
ONA strives to be inclusive. For example, suppose you play the flute,
primarily, and wish to join ONA. If, say, two available flute slots happen to
already be filled for some piece we're going to perform, we have options. You
are more than welcome to play a different instrument for that particular piece, or we can work out a rotation, in consultation with the Artistic Director.
The Artistic Director's responsibilities include staying true to the composer's
intent, to ONA's orchestral sound, and (importantly!) to the inclusion of
musicians who wish to participate. ONA has a long history of successfully,
inclusively, solving occasional orchestration issues.

Member Fees
ONA musicians pay a $100/year membership fee, which can be paid at the beginning of the season or broken into two payments of $50 payable at the beginning of the Fall Semester and then at the beginning of the Spring Semester. Payments can be made through PayPal here, by check to our mailing address, or at rehearsal.

Scholarships
If you are unable to pay the membership fee, please get in touch. ONA offers no-questions-asked scholarships to community members as well as high school and college-aged musicians.
Rehearsal Schedule
ONA rehearses weekly between August and June on Monday nights in the Coconino High School band room, 2801 N. Izabel St., Flagstaff, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Musicians should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of rehearsal.
Concerts
ONA performs four times per season. Concerts are typically held in Coconino High School's main auditorium.
